What PostCrisp stores and why

Your account

When you sign in with Discord we receive your Discord user id, username, display name and avatar. We use them to identify your account and show who is signed in. We don't request your email address, servers or messages, and we don't keep your Discord access token after sign-in.

Your videos

Uploaded videos and their processed versions are stored privately in object storage and are reachable only through short-lived links generated for your signed-in session. Files are deleted automatically 7 days after upload, or immediately when you delete them from your account. Location and device metadata are stripped from processed files. We don't view, share or use your videos for anything other than processing them for you.

Payments

Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the merchant of record for your purchase. Card and PayPal details go directly to Lemon Squeezy and never reach our servers. We keep a record of each purchase (pack, amount, date, and Lemon Squeezy's order id) so your credit balance can be audited.

Security and abuse prevention

To prevent abuse of free credits we store a keyed hash of the IP address used at signup and count requests per network for rate limiting. Raw IP addresses are not stored in our database. Server logs kept by our hosting providers may contain IP addresses for a limited period.

Cookies

We use a signed session cookie to keep you signed in, a short-lived cookie that protects the Discord sign-in flow, and a preference cookie for light or dark theme. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.

Processors

Your choices

You can delete any video's files from your account at any time. You can also delete your whole account from the Account page: that removes your files, history and balance immediately. Questions go to support@johanthegoat.xyz.
