Before you upload
Which apps is this for?
TikTok first, and the same file works for Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts. All three re-encode every upload into a 1080×1920-class H.264 or newer stream, which is the target this file is built for.
Will my video look different?
Side by side before posting, the difference is subtle: slightly cleaner shadows and a touch more edge definition. The difference shows up after the app re-compresses it, when there is less noise for its encoder to smear and edges that hold up.
Why is the file smaller?
Phone cameras record at 15 to 50 Mbps. Short-form apps keep a fraction of that, so the extra bits in your upload are thrown away on ingest. PostCrisp spends a capped budget on the detail that survives and strips the noise that doesn't. Already heavily compressed 720p clips can come out slightly larger, because they are rebuilt at full 1080×1920; the result screen always shows the real change.
What happens if processing fails?
Your credit is refunded automatically, and the screen tells you what went wrong. Jobs that stall are stopped and refunded after 20 minutes.
What happens to my files?
Uploads and results are stored privately and deleted after 7 days, or immediately when you delete them from your account. They are never shared or used for anything else.
